RIVERA’S MONTHLY E-REPORT

“Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me’.”  John 14: 6

            Max’s mom Maria passed on into the presence of Jesus on August 14 after a relatively short battle with cancer.  Her funeral is being held in El Salvador next week.  Please pray for peace and comfort of God for the family who misses her.  We praise God that she gave her heart to Jesus and drew close to Him in the past 8 years. Now, there is no pain or sickness, only great joy in God’s presence.

            La mamá de Max, María, después de una batalla relativamente corta con el cáncer pasó a estar en la presencia del Señor el 14 de agosto de 2010. El funeral va a realizarse en El Salvador en la semana que viene.  Por favor, ore por la paz y el consuelo de Dios para la familia que la extraña.  Alabamos a Dios que le di a Jesucristo su corazón y se acercó en los últimos 8 años.  Ahora, no hay dolor ni enfermedad,  solamente gozo grande en la presencia de Dios.

RIVERA’S MONTHLY E-REPORT

“Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” Ps. 36:5

Praise God with us:

*God has protected us as we have traveled more than 15,000 miles in the past twelve months to participate in more than 130 missionary services and appointments.

*We are thankful to all the pastors and members who welcomed us so warmly during our time in the Northwest Ministry Network. We are leaving the NW on August 5 and hope to see you in about four years.

Please pray for us:

*We will return to traveling to Latin America to teach, beginning with trips in August to Ecuador and in October to Dominican Republic. In between those two trips, we will continue to have missionary services in churches of other districts across the United States for a few months. As always we need God’s protection, provision, and anointing.

*Max’s mother was hospitalized with a serious infection for almost three weeks. She is clear of infection now but is dealing with the return of cancer.  Please pray for her healing and peace. 

 “The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord.  The Lord helps them and delivers them; He delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in Him.” Ps. 37:39-40

Alabe a Dios con nosotros:

*Dios nos ha protegido mientras hemos viajado más de 15,000 millas durante los últimos 12 meses para participar en más que 130 cultos misioneros y reuniones con pastores.

*Estamos muy agradecidos a todos los pastores y miembros quienes nos han dado una cariñosa bienvenida durante nuestro tiempo en el distrito del noroeste. Vamos a salir del noroeste el 5 de agosto y esperamos verles en aprox. cuatro años.

Por favor, ore con nosotros:

*Vamos a regresar a viajar a América Latina para enseñar, empezando con viajes en agosto a Ecuador y en octubre a la Republica Dominicana. Entre los dos viajes, vamos a continuar participando en cultos misioneros en iglesias de otros distritos a través de los EE. UU. por unos meses.  Como siempre, necesitamos la protección, la provisión y la unción de Dios.

*La mamá de Max estuvo hospitalizado con una infección grave por casi tres semanas.  Ahora ya está libre de la infección pero está batallando con el regreso del cáncer.  Por favor, ore por su salud y la paz en su corazón.

 “Pero la salvación de los justos es de Jehová, y él es su fortaleza en el tiempo de la angustia. Jehová los ayudará y los librará; los libertará de los impíos, y los salvará, por cuanto en él esperaron.”  Salmo 37: 39-40

“Let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”           Heb. 10:25b

Praise God with us:

We are making new and strengthening old connections here in the NW.  We are grateful for the sense of interdependence and family, especially as we plan to leave in a couple of months. The distance will not break those ties but the relationships encourage us no matter where we go.

Please pray for us:

We always desire more of the Holy Spirit’s guidance, wisdom, gifts, and power.

“May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing His will, and may He work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”  Heb. 13:20-21

Estamos haciendo nuevas relaciones y fortaleciendo antiguas conexiones aquí en el noroeste. Estamos agradecidos por el sentido de interdependencia y familia, especialmente mientras estamos planificando salir en unos meses. Las distancia no puede romper estos lazos de amor más bien estas relaciones nos animan no importando adonde vayamos.

Por favor, ore con nosotros:

Siempre queremos más del Espíritu Santo, su dirección, sabiduría, dones, y poder.

Praise God with us:

*Every Sunday morning plus nearly every Sunday evening are scheduled, as well as several weekday evenings.. About 33 services are lined up until the end of July. God has ordered everything perfectly during our entire itineration time.

*Max’s mom, who had cancer, is doing very well now. Thank you for your prayers.

Please pray for us:

*We are enjoying our time in our district visiting many churches, but we are getting excited about our return to Facultad in August to continue training Latin American leaders. Please pray that all that is needed here and for moving once again comes together.

 “For in Him we live and move and have our being.”  Acts 17: 28a

*Todos los domingos por las mañanas y casi todos por las tardes están programados. También tenemos varios días de la semana programados por las tardes. Hay aprox. 33 servicios en la agenda hasta el fin de julio. Dios ha programado todo perfectamente durante nuestra itineración.

*María, la mamá de Max quien tuvo cáncer, está muy bien ahora. Gracias por sus oraciones.

Por favor, ore con nosotros:

Estamos gozándonos aquí en nuestro distrito visitando muchas iglesias, pero estamos anticipando con gozo el regreso a la Facultad en agosto para continuar entrenando a líderes en América Latina. Por favor, ore para que todo lo que es necesario aquí sea cumplido y para que la mudanza sea buena otra vez.

Praise God with us:

*God has given us the strength and grace we have needed for this extra-busy month of missions services.

Please pray for us:

*We need God’s provision to be completed so that we may return to our mission field in August as planned.

 “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever! Amen.”  Eph. 3: 20-21

*Necesitamos que la provisión de Dios sea cumplida para que regresemos a nuestro campo misionero en agosto como está planificado.
